I’m Christine, a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor based in Leytonstone, East London, also offering online sessions. With over 30 years of experience as a senior manager in the corporate world, I understand firsthand how stress, burnout, and workplace challenges can affect your mental well-being. In 2016, after undertaking comprehensive training, I transitioned into private counselling practice, to focus on what I’m most passionate about—helping individuals and couples overcome life’s challenges and create fulfilling lives. I work with clients on a very broad range of issues (see the Counselling section) and have also developed two particular specialities: anxiety counselling and couples counselling.
My training includes, studying to qualify with a leading London institute, The Minster Centre, and additional training with the highly respected learning centres at Tavistock Relationships and The Grove, also based in London. I have covered a wide range of issues including anxiety, low self esteem, depression, and relationship challenges. I have also trained to work with client(s) facing psychosexual problems. Before entering private practice, I spent three years as a trainee counsellor at an LGBTQ+ charity, gaining valuable experience in supporting a diversity of individuals, and helping them to address a wide range of personal challenges.
I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, of different ages, backgrounds, nationality, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality - from creatives, and public sector workers to city professionals and entrepreneurs, always offering a warm, no-nonsense approach to therapy. My clients often tell me that I balance empathy with clear, direct, insight, making our sessions both transformative and effective. I’m not afraid to ask the tough questions, but always in a supportive way, and with your growth in mind.
Whether you’re managing anxiety, improving communication in your relationship, or exploring deeply personal challenges, my goal remains the same: to provide a safe, supportive space where real change can happen. I use a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring each session to suit your needs and goals, whether you’re seeking short-term strategies or longer-term exploration.
I am committed to professional excellence and continually update my skills to provide the best support for my clients. Here’s a summary of my qualifications and training:
